Documentary 'Cape Horn' by National Geographic
Wilderness, unique landscapes and thousands of endemic species along the Pristine Seas expedition to the Magallanes region
This documentary shows the wealth of marine fauna and demonstrates the importance of declaring the nearly one hundred thousand square kilometres between Cape Horn and Diego Ramirez Island a Protected Maritime Area. The film, which was shot during the months of January and February 2017, follows a team of National Geographic scientists to Cape Horn and the Diego Ramirez Islands. The goal of the expedition was to promote and propose the area as the largest and most noteworthy marine natural park in the Southern Cone.
